ABOUT US

Founders Nicki Koethner & Suraya Keating
Graduates of the Expressive Arts Therapy master’s program at CIIS, we first met in 2003 while facilitating Theater for Change at San Francisco County Jail through Community Works’ Resolve to Stop Violence Project (RSVP). Since then, our collaboration has unfolded across many creative and healing spaces—from co-supervising expressive arts and drama therapy interns at Contra Costa Health Services to offering workshops and retreats, including Alchemy of the Elementsat the Yuba River with Mireya Alejo Marcet.
As friends, collaborators, and dance-floor companions, we are grateful for community spaces like NCDC, Open Floor, and Ecstatic Dance that invite deep connection through movement, song, and shared presence. Our mutual love for healing through creative expression inspired us to invite friends and colleagues to contribute to Inner Wild. We hope you find something here that speaks to your soul and ignites what you most need. With deep gratitude for this life, this planet, and our shared humanity, we remember: we are in this together—we are earth, we are nature, and we are love.
